Future plans/activities

Warembo forum find it  important to address the needs of marginalized women to the entire community.  Unfortunately, discrimination still exists in Tanzania, particularly with regards to the LGBTI community, commercial sex workers, and disabled peopled. Therefore, Warembo Forum plans to raise awareness through various ways .this includes  maisntrem media and  social media .In mainstream media the research findings will be used to produce  brochures.flyers. cartoon booklet  simple booklet and others and for social media the arts will be used foristance drama .cultural dance .songs huma talk show and many more.

We intend to create a national dialogue to introduce these issues to a wider audience, and plan to develop radio and television programmes. Radio programmes could be particularly effective as they would allow us to introduce sensitive issues without disclosing the identities of our members. It is our hope that by introducing their stories and breaking the silence that surrounds these subjects, people will become more aware of the existence of these groups. We want people to understand that LGBTI people, sex workers, and disabled people are not "others," but rather human beings and members of the community who deserve equal rights and the same opportunities as others.
